Zac Efron Encountered A Life-Threatening Accident Previously That Cost Him His Face

Zac Efron had a brush with a close call a few years back that changed how he looked.

He was running in his house wearing socks when he slipped and hit his face on a granite fountain’s edge.

The hit was bad breaking his jaw and making his chin bone hang off his face. He blacked out from the injury.

Efron had an operation to fix his jaw and then needed a lot of physical therapy, which made him look different.

Fans first saw these changes in April 2021 in a Facebook Watch video with Bill Nye.

In a 2022 chat with Men’s Health, Efron said he had to stop his therapy while filming in Australia.

This break caused some facial muscles to grow bigger as they made up for the hurt muscles the masseter muscles on both sides of his face changing his jaw shape.

Further, Efron spoke up about whispers of cosmetic work making it clear that his changed looks came from an injury and rehab, not going under the knife.

He brought up the talk in his film “A Family Affair,” showing a mark on his jaw and telling how the operation came after a mishap with broken glass.

Additionally, Efron changed his looks while getting ready for his part in “The Iron Claw.” He put on 15 pounds of muscle to play pro wrestler Kevin Von Erich.

This body change needed hard volume training and body-building workouts, which added to his new look.

Even with these hurdles, Efron keeps doing well in his job showing he’s tough and committed to his work.
