XXXTentacion was born Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy on January 23, 1998, in Plantation, Florida.
Onfroy was an influential American rapper and singer-songwriter.
He began his musical career in the year 2013 on SoundCloud.
The late rapper used distortion and heavy guitar-backed instrumentals, among other unconventional styles.
His immense popularity propelled him into one of the leading lights in the emo and SoundCloud rap genres.
Plus, Onfroy’s debut album “17” (2017) reached #2 on the Billboard 200, while his follow-up album “?” (2018) opened at #1.
As controversial as his legal troubles were, XXXTentacion enjoyed a fairly sizable cult audience.
But sadly, in the summer of 2018, XXXTentacion was fatally shot during a carjacking.

XXXTentacion Was Tragically Killed In A Robbery-Turned-Murder
Rapper XXXTentacion was tragically killed in a robbery-turned-murder outside a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida, on June 18, 2018.
At just 20 years old, Onfroy’s life was cut short in a senseless act of violence. And, surveillance footage revealed the chilling sequence of events.
As Onfroy was leaving the dealership, a black SUV blocked his BMW. Then, two masked men, Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome, came out to stand next to Onfroy at his driver’s window.
They wanted his Louis Vuitton bag because $50,000 in cash, which he had withdrawn from the bank that day, was in it. Following that, there was a confrontation.
In the scuffle, Boatwright fired shots, striking Onfroy several times.
The attackers grabbed the bag ran into the SUV, and sped off.
Onfroy was taken to the hospital as soon as possible. Sadly, he was declared dead on arrival.
Rapper XXXTentacion’s Autopsy Report Explained
XXXTentacion got a fatal shot, as per the autopsy report and death certificate. Per the report, a bullet passed through his neck and into his lung, causing much damage inside.
The report also noted that his brain and chest plate were removed during the examination.
Some of XXXTentacion’s fans found these graphic details disturbing. His followers believed that the information should not have been made public and that it was better to celebrate his memory.
However, the report of the autopsy was necessary to investigate and to proceed for the court trial of four men charged with his murder.
Even though the fans were emotionally crushed, the report gave the prosecution vital medical evidence.
It was found to confirm that the cause of death coincided with what was said by witnesses and other forensic evidence secured at the scene of the crime.
So, this documentation was vital in bringing about clarity and justice in the tragic end of this young artist’s life.
Four Men Were Charged In XXXTentacion’s Case
Four men were charged in the case of rapper XXXTentacion’s murder. They are Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, Dedrick Williams, and Robert Allen.
Back in March 2023, a jury found Boatwright, Newsome, and Williams guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery.
So, they got slapped with a life sentence in prison without any chance of parole.
Boatwright was identified as the main shooter. He got hit with a life sentence for his part in the murder and robbery.
Similarly, Williams was the guy driving the SUV. Therefore, he was also convicted of first-degree murder and armed robbery.
Moreover, he got the same life sentence as Boatwright.
Likewise, Newsome was implicated as the second gunman. He got stuck with a life sentence in prison too.
The whole thing went down outside a motorcycle shop in Broward County, Florida, back in June 2018.
Now, the fourth suspect, Robert Allen, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and snitched on the others during the trial. We’re still waiting to hear what his sentence will be.
The judge made it crystal clear just how serious this crime was. He said that the guys who got convicted would be spending the rest of their lives locked up in prison cells.
