1. Abby Steiner Unfortunately Didn’t Make The Cut For The 2024 Olympics.

Abby Steiner is an incredibly talented sprinter hailing from Dublin, Ohio.

Unfortunately, she didn’t make it onto the U.S. Olympic team for the 200-meter event at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon.

Even though she ran her best time of the season, clocking in at 22.03 seconds in the semifinals (which was actually the fourth fastest time overall), she finished sixth in a seriously tough final.

Let us tell you, the competition in the women’s 200-meter event was crazy strong this year. The top four finishers all ran times under 22 seconds. Impressive stuff!

Abby Steiner totally recognized the strength of her competitors and said,

“Those ladies really earned it.”

She also mentioned how excited she was to cheer them on.

So, while she won’t be representing the U.S. in the 200m at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Abby Steiner is keeping her head up and staying positive for the rest of the season.

She’s incredibly grateful for the amazing support system she has, including her coach, family, and boyfriend.

Even though she didn’t make the Olympic team, Abby Steiner’s accomplishments are still seriously impressive.

In 2022, she snagged gold medals in the 4x400m and 4x100m relays at the world championships.

So, Steiner’s journey is far from over. Her determination and talent guarantee that she’ll continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of track and field.

2. Her Surgery After Heel Injury.

Back in 2023, Abby Steiner said that she was closing her running season to go through an operation on her left heel.

The one-time NCAA champ has struggled with a heel bone spur pressing on her Achilles tendon. It’s caused a lot of pain during drills and games.

Similarly, Steiner had surgeries on both feet earlier this year. The operation on her left foot was in August, and the surgery on her right foot was in late September.

These surgeries pushed back her preparation for the 2024 season.

Steiner mentioned that her healing process has taken more time than expected.

In addition, she could begin a light run on the track in early December.

Even with these hurdles, Steiner is still committed to her recovery, and her family support has done a lot for her.

So, the next time Steiner with her growth might make it to the Olympics

3. She Graduated With A Bachelor’s Degree In Kinesiology And Exercise Science.

In May 2022, Abby Steiner obtained her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and exercise science from the University of Kentucky.

This field of study suits one of Steiner’s long-term dreams: to work as a physical therapist.

The reason for her choosing this field was because it not only leads to a range of job opportunities beyond being a physical therapist but also matches her solid athletic past.

This includes possibilities like training or coaching.

Steiner liked classes such as CPR/first aid and exercise physiology. In addition, she thinks these will help in her clinic work.

The Dublin Coffman High School graduate’s academic path shows her commitment to her sports and career goals.

This gives her a strong base for her upcoming work in physical therapy and similar areas.

4. Steiner Is Unmarried But Is Dating Her Boyfriend.

There’s no ring on Abby Steiner’s finger yet; however, she’s dating her boyfriend, who, as per the Internet, looks like Robert Pattinson.

In March 2023, Steiner shared about her partner, letting everyone know she’s off the market.

The track and field sprinter posted a sweet dinner date picture on Instagram ticking all the couple goals boxes.

Even though she didn’t spend any words on her boyfriend’s name, their photographs spell L.O.V.E., real and solid, not a glossy magazine cover kind of love.

They seem tight, offering Steiner emotional strength as she keeps climbing higher and higher in her sports life.

5. Abby Steiner And Sydney McLaughlin Aren’t Friends.

American athletes Abby Steiner and Sydney McLaughlin both stand out but don’t have a strong personal bond, despite many similarities.

McLaughlin, who runs hurdles, did break her personal best in the 400-meter hurdles a fifth time. She finished in 50.65 seconds at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon.

Steiner and McLaughlin are of the same age, and people spot them together on the track. This has led to rumors about the nature of their relationship.

In fact, they got to know each other as student-athletes at the University of Kentucky.

They have appeared together, but they keep their relationship on a professional basis, not personal.

When they were in Kentucky, Steiner got the upper hand on McLaughlin in the 200-meter dash.

McLaughlin’s professional life flew high when she set a world record in the 400-meter hurdles and won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Steiner, however, just missed getting on the Olympic team.

To conclude, even though Steiner and McLaughlin respect each other, they’re not close friends.
